Queenie is my birth name. Honestly. And no, my mother was not a hippie, though I wish that were true. I feel ripped off that I don't live in a castle. ;)

In fact, I live currently in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. And as the lj name implies, I do write quite a bit. I write whatever the mood fancies. Spoken word, short stories, novels, anything I feel expresses my words best. However, my favorite genres tend to lie in the mystical, fantasy, and horror. I like to be scared out of my wits. I work for Burning Effigy Press as assistant editor part time, write articles for places like Fearzone.com, work on my fiction and sell it like my short story "A Bird in the Hand" which is in Ages of Wonder. Writing is a big part of who I am.

Feel free to add me, and if your interesting I'll add you back. Heck, I may know you, so I'll add you for that reason alone. I've been known to add others because they were interesting, so I feel it's only fair. However, I don't always add people back. I have my reasons for this. Some posts I make are locked and highly personal, even though I post a lot publicly. It's not that I have something to hide, I just don't feel like exposing all of myself to the entire online world. Plus, I am an extremely passionate being. This might be too much for some people. Let's just say my strongest element is fire. Can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.
